When Fools Define Intelligence

According to fools, the sea is only as vast as they know, the tastiest food is no better than the best dish they've ever eaten, and beauty is no greater than the most beautiful woman they've ever seen. As for truthâit goes only as far as their understanding.
That is the standard of intelligence according to fools. They limit knowledge to what they already know, and they reduce truth to what they have personally experienced.
To a fool, all truth must be rational. But truth doesnât need to be rational to be true. If a meteor falls through your roof, it doesnât have to wait to become rational before it can happen.
Rationality is the standard of intelligence created by fools.
Iâm not anti-rational. I just disagree with the idea that rationality is the only path to truth â because thatâs like saying the sun is the only source of light.
